Hello. I'm John, the owner of Cambridge Decorating and a long-time Cambridge resident. I have been serving the local community for over 20 years and have a good deal of experience in a wide range of painting, decorating and renovating skills.
I work exclusively in the domestic market in the Cambridge area, concentrating on interior painting and decorating work, including plaster repairs. I no longer take on exterior painting work.
My pricing structure is straightforward. I'm not VAT registered, so there's no extra 20%, and my colleague and I are quiet, tidy and concentrated workers who keep disruption to a minimum while achieving a high-end finish.
Thoroughly recommend John's work. John rapidly provided a very reasonable quote to us to paint our bedroom and landing. He was able to carry out the work within a couple of weeks and did a great job for us. Very impressed by how quickly he completed the job.
John was recommended to us by friends who were very pleased with work he had done for them and we would certainly pass on that recommendation. The standard of decorating he did for us is excellent – thorough preparation and meticulous finishing. He was always punctual and also gave us good advice on colour when we were undecided, which was helpful!
John and Hutch were great, I was moving house and they decorated before (and during) the house move. They were organised and efficient and helped with figuring out how to dismantle a large wardrobe so it could go up the stairs, they also put it back together at the top. Work far and above expected.
We were very impressed with the quality and speed of John Hammond's work. There was very little disruption to our lives and we would recommend him to anyone who was looking for a careful, thoughtful – and very quiet! – decorating company.
